Although the 1841 census clearly states that he was not born in Cheshire, there is a Thomas Meakin born to a Thomas & Frances Meakin and baptised in Acton (nr Nantwich) on 12/7/1786. A supporting factor here may be that he may have named one of his daughters after his mother. His probable wife, Nancy is
a synonym of Ann, which is shown on some IGI entries |
